Privacy Policy
A divorce is private. Period.
DRAFT — pending attorney review
What we store
Your account: an email address and a password hash, never the password itself. Your case: every answer you save in an interview — including the sensitive identifiers the court requires, such as Social Security numbers, dates of birth, home addresses, employer, and your financial and family details. This is stored server-side in our database, behind your session. It is never written to your browser's storage.
A shared case is genuinely shared
This is the most important thing on this page. A divorce case belongs to two people, and both spouses see the whole case: every answer, every document, and the full history of who changed what. Nothing you type here is private from your spouse, and nothing here is confidential or privileged the way a conversation with your own attorney would be. If you need to say something in confidence, say it to a lawyer, not to us.
Who else touches it
We use service providers to run the product, and they process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (the Postgres database), and Resend (transactional email such as password resets). We do not sell your data, we do not share it for advertising, and there are no advertising pixels or social-media trackers on this site. The safety question in the qualify quiz (domestic violence) is never stored, anywhere.
Your data, your buttons
From Your account you can export everything we hold as a single JSON file, and you can delete your account. Because a case belongs to two people, deleting removes you and your access immediately; the case itself is fully erased once both spouses have deleted, or immediately if you are the only participant. Court filings you have already submitted live with the court and are outside our reach.
How long we keep it
Case data is retained while your account exists. We keep it after your judgment because people come back for certified copies and post-judgment questions — delete your account whenever you want that to end.
